QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

HOW DOES MY PET JOIN CLIFTON DOGSQUAD?

We ask two questions of anyone enquiring to join us: 1- ‘Is your dog ok to be around children?’ & ‘2- Is your dog ok to be around other dogs?’ Usually these two questions lead to a reasonable understanding of your dog and if positive to both, a lot more can be assessed and discussed at a ‘Meet, Greet & Treat’ introduction.

To book in, we ask that our Information Form is completed. This is mainly so we have an automatic record of each dog’s information to hand but it also authorises on or off lead walks and further validates our Insurance.

HOW DO WE KEEP CLIFTON DOGSQUAD SAFE?

  • Risk Assessments have been completed for all walk routes, primarily considering animal welfare, road safety and weather variables.

  • The weather forecast at the beginning of the week dictates our routes and occasionally our training schedule. Severe weather conditions can impact our regular schedule and we ask for flexibility in collection and drop off timings to avoid any risk to the group or individuals.

  • Individual Information Forms must be submitted, and a successful introductory meeting must be completed in order for any dog to join us.

  • Pet First Aid kit is on-person at all times.

  • Covid-19 regulations regularly checked and adhered to, Hygiene certificate obtained May 2020.

SQUAD RULES

  • Dogs must wear a securely fitting harness or collar.

  • Off-lead dogs must respond to a recall.

  • We walk on the inside of the pavement, and follow paths when possible.

  • We supply all waste bags and dispose of all waste appropriately.

  • We supply clean drinking water and bowls, allowing for water breaks on walks.

  • We supply safe, clean toys. We can not take responsibility for any clients toys or accessories brought onsite.

IF MY PET NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET, WILL YOU TAKE THEM?

In case of a veterinary emergency, the owner is immediately informed by phone call. We will contact the vet surgery and if applicable take the dog to the surgery for medical attention. Clifton DogSquad is registered as an insured Pet Business with Clifton Vets, St Pauls Rd, BS8 1LR. In an emergency situation Clifton DogSquad will primarily head to Clifton Vets rather than the pet's registered vet practice.
